Get any video's transcript directly inside ChatGPT

ChatGPT supports custom MCP connectors on plans with the connectors feature enabled. Add TranscriptX once and the agent can transcribe URLs without you leaving the chat.

Steps

1. Open ChatGPT's connector settings.
2. Choose Add new MCP server.
3. Fill in:
   • Name: TranscriptX
   • URL: https://transcriptx.xyz/mcp/?token=YOUR_TOKEN
   • Auth: None — the token is already in the URL.
4. Save. ChatGPT picks up the tools and surfaces them in conversations.

Replace YOUR_TOKEN with the personal token from /account/mcp.

Try it

• "Transcribe this video and write a one-paragraph summary: <URL>"
• "List the last 5 videos from this YouTube channel."
• "Translate the transcript of this Spanish interview to English."

If something breaks

• "Connector failed to enable". Re-paste the URL exactly. No extra spaces, no missing slashes.
• Tools don't show up. Refresh the conversation. Some accounts need to re-toggle the connector once after saving.
• 401. Token is wrong, expired, or revoked. Generate a new one at /account/mcp.
