We refund credits automatically when something on our side fails — network issues, transcription errors, anti-bot blocks. We don't refund when the link itself is the problem (private, removed, unsupported, or no audio): we still spent compute fetching and inspecting the video, and refunding those would let bad URLs run for free. If you ever feel a charge was unfair, email us and we'll make it right.

How does TranscriptX work?
Paste a public video or audio URL into the input field. TranscriptX extracts the audio, runs it through TranscriptX, and returns structured text with segment-level and word-level timestamps. The entire process takes seconds for most videos.
What platforms are supported?
Over 1000 platforms are supported. Major ones include YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, Reddit, Vimeo, Twitch, SoundCloud, LinkedIn, Rumble, Bilibili, Snapchat, Threads, and Pinterest.
Is TranscriptX free?
Yes. The free tier includes 3 transcripts per month on any platform. Starter ($1.99/mo) gives you 50 transcripts with batch mode and CSV/JSON export. Pro ($3.99/mo) is unlimited.
How fast is transcription?
Most transcriptions complete in under 30 seconds. Speed depends on video length and the model you select — Turbo is fastest, Large-V3 is highest accuracy.
What formats can I export?
You can copy transcript text to clipboard, or export as CSV or JSON. Exports include timestamps, segment text, and metadata. Batch results can be exported as a single file.
Do I need an account?
No account is required for free transcriptions. Creating an account lets you track usage, access paid plans, and earn referral credits. Sign-up requires only an email and password.
What is the difference between Starter and Pro?
Starter includes 50 transcripts per month, batch mode, and CSV/JSON export at $0.04 per transcript. Pro is unlimited transcripts with the same features. Both support all 1000+ platforms and both transcription models.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Both Starter and Pro are month-to-month or annual subscriptions with no lock-in. Cancel through the customer portal and your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
Is my data secure?
TranscriptX does not store your video files. Audio is extracted, transcribed, and deleted. Transcript text is returned directly to your browser. We do not sell or share your data.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Free users wait until the next month for 3 new transcripts. Starter users can upgrade to Pro for unlimited, or wait for their monthly reset. Failed transcriptions caused by our system are refunded automatically.
Do you support languages other than English?
Yes. TranscriptX supports automatic language detection and can transcribe audio in 90+ languages. You do not need to specify the language — it is detected from the audio.
