Get any video's transcript directly inside Cursor

Cursor's chat panel can call MCP tools. Add TranscriptX once and any agent thread in any project can pull transcripts on demand.

Steps

1. Cursor → Settings → MCP → Add new server.
2. Fill in:
   • Name: TranscriptX
   • Type: streamableHttp (or http on older Cursor versions)
   • URL: https://transcriptx.xyz/mcp/?token=YOUR_TOKEN
3. Save. Cursor connects and shows the tools in the chat panel's tool list.

Replace YOUR_TOKEN with the personal token from /account/mcp.

Open the chat panel and ask. Tap any prompt to copy it.

Make Cursor watch the video

watch_url gives the agent the actual frames plus a timestamped transcript, so it can read UI that's only ever shown on screen — never spoken aloud.

Watching costs 2 credits per video. A plain transcript is 1.

Or just get the words

If something breaks

• Server status: error. Re-check the URL — no extra spaces, must include /mcp/.
• Tools don't appear. Toggle the server off/on in Settings → MCP.
• "Type unsupported". Update Cursor; older builds only support http.
• 401. Token is wrong, expired, or revoked. Generate a new one at /account/mcp.
