How to Transcribe a SoundCloud Track or DJ Mix

Quick answer: Copy the SoundCloud track URL (soundcloud.com/artist/track-name), paste on TranscriptX. Works on public tracks and mixes. Private tracks with secret links usually work too.

SoundCloud won’t export captions. DJ mixes and podcast-style shows are still a goldmine of spoken content if you can extract it.

On soundcloud.com, open the track. Copy the URL from the browser. Format: soundcloud.com/artist/track-name.

2) Paste on TranscriptX

Common things that break

Private track without a secret link. Can’t fetch.
SoundCloud Go+ paywalled. Requires a subscription.
Purely instrumental music. Nothing to transcribe.
Lyrics over heavy beats. Whisper is tuned for speech, not lyrics. Expect rougher output on sung music.
