How to Transcribe a Kick VOD or Clip
Updated 24 Apr 2026 · TranscriptX editorial
Quick answer: Copy the Kick VOD URL (kick.com/video/UUID) or clip URL, paste on TranscriptX. Works for public VODs and clips. Subscriber-only content requires authentication we don't have.
Step-by-step
1) Find the VOD or clip on Kick
On kick.com, go to the streamer's channel → Videos or Clips, open the one you want.
2) Copy the URL
VODs look like kick.com/video/UUID, clips look like kick.com/STREAMER?clip=abc123. Both work.
3) Paste on TranscriptX
Drop on transcriptx.xyz. Multi-hour VODs take proportionally longer.
Common things that break
- Subscriber-only VOD. Kick lets streamers restrict VODs to paid subscribers. We can't subscribe for you.
- VOD deleted by streamer. Streamers delete VODs all the time. If gone from their channel, it's gone for us.
- Age-gated (18+ mature) stream. Requires a confirmed-adult Kick account. Not supported.
- DMCA-muted sections. If Kick muted audio for copyright reasons, those sections produce no transcript (silence).

FAQ
Is Kick different from Twitch for this workflow?
Same pattern: VODs paste as URLs, clips paste as URLs, live streams need to end first. Implementation details differ but the user flow is identical.
Can I transcribe the chat?
No. This transcribes the streamer's audio only. Chat is a separate data stream.
What if a Kick stream is happening right now?
Wait until the stream ends and the VOD posts. We need a completed recording — real-time live transcription isn't supported.
